Mohamed ElBaradei, head of the International Atomic Energy Agency, said a U.S. attack on Iran would turn the Middle East into a “ball of fire” and accelerate a nuclear weapons program; he threatened to resign.
A Florida woman had her Maltese grabbed by a bobcat while on a walk. Bogie, the dog, has not been seen since.

Last week Hillary Lister, a woman with a disability limiting movement from the neck down, finished the first leg of her historic attempt to sail around the U.K. in a “sip and puff”-operated 20-foot racing sailboat.
A two-year-old girl was pulled away from the jaws of a coyote by her nanny in California.
